Proportion your portions

It’s not a surprise that when more food is in front of us, we tend to eat more food.

Makes sense, right?

So, today take control of your portions.

A portion of food is the amount that’s on your plate – different than a serving – because you’re making the choice for yourself.

Instead of carrying measuring cups with you, use everyday objects as reminders of the right serving size your portion should be.

For example, a medium pepper is about the size of a baseball and equals one vegetable serving.

Even if you don’t have a baseball on hand – you can visualize what the right serving is and gauge how much is the recommended amount for your meal.

Start small today and focus on just one meal.
