Say a little prayer for you

Today, offer to pray with someone.

It’s a simple gesture but it can mean so much to someone going through a difficult time.

Prayer can be a powerful tool in more ways than one. For the body, prayer releases stress and asks people to focus on what’s plaguing them and articulate their struggles. It also gives us quiet time to breathe and reflect, which in turn lowers blood pressure and maintains a healthy heart rate.

While many of us already pray for those we care about, asking a person to join us and giving them the opportunity to take part in the benefits of praying, is taking it one step further.

So, whether it’s in person, by phone, or even just a scheduled time you plan to pray in separate spaces, take someone you care for on the journey of prayer with you.
